The boxer secured the tenth position following a successful performance in a bout against WBC champion Tyson Fury. Despite scoring a knockdown in the 3rd round, Ngannou ultimately lost by a split decision from the judges.

If Ngannou manages to negotiate a rematch with Fury, and Tyson retains the WBC title, the championship will be at stake in their upcoming match.
