Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou commented on the upcoming bout against former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. The fight between Ngannou and Joshua is set to take place on March 8th in Saudi Arabia.

The Franco-Cameroonian expressed doubts that AJ could withstand punches similar to those Tyson Fury took in their fight.

We are crossing over, this is a crossover. This is my second fight, my second boxing fight, so my two first boxing matches I’m taking on two of the top three heavyweight boxers in the generation.

I have doubts that Joshua can endure the punches Fury took from me. Tyson showed great resilience. I saw how he came back after being knocked down. I think he's one of the toughest boxers out there. It's not disrespect towards AJ. I just don't believe AJ can withstand what Tyson did.” Ngannou said.

In October, Ngannou made his professional boxing debut against Tyson Fury. Despite knocking down the Briton in the third round, the Franco-Cameroonian lost by split decision.

Joshua's last fight was in December against Sweden's Otto Wallin. Anthony won by technical knockout in the fifth round.
