NFL wide receiver Rondale Moore passes away at 25
On Saturday, at just 25 years old, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Rondale Moore passed away.
Details: Police in New Albany, Moore’s hometown, reported that the player was found dead on Saturday. The primary line of investigation is suicide. The exact circumstances of the tragedy are still being clarified, with an autopsy scheduled for Sunday.
Moore’s NFL career began in 2021 when the Arizona Cardinals selected the Purdue graduate in the second round of the draft. After three seasons with the Cardinals, he moved to the Atlanta Falcons in March 2024. However, a severe knee injury suffered at training camp sidelined him for the entire season. In March 2025, Rondale signed a one-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings, but fate intervened again: another knee injury during preseason forced him out for a second consecutive year.
The NFL is deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Rondale Moore. Our thoughts are with Rondale's family, friends and teammates during this difficult time
