The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has clarified why the Super Eagles are lodged at the Rive Hotel in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff against Gabon.
The hotel drew attention after Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi shared images online showing the view from his window, which included an old building. The post quickly went viral, sparking online debate over the team’s accommodation.
According to the NFF, the Rive Hotel was selected for its closeness to the team’s training ground and the Rabat stadium. The federation explained that the location allows players and officials “convenient access to training sessions and match preparations.”
