NFF Boss Visits Injured Ola Aina in London
NFF president Ibrahim Musa Gusau has visited Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina in London as the right-back continues his recovery from a hamstring injury. Aina underwent surgery after picking up the injury during Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against South Africa, ruling him out of recent international games and several matches for Nottingham Forest.
Forest’s coaching staff say the defender is progressing well with the sports science team and physiotherapists but has not yet returned to full training. The club is taking a careful approach to make sure he completes every stage of rehabilitation without any setbacks.
Despite the disruption, optimism is growing about Aina’s chances of being fit for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco this December. His experience and versatility are expected to be valuable assets for the Super Eagles if he returns in time.
Gusau’s visit allowed him to get firsthand updates on Aina’s condition and to encourage the player as he works toward a full comeback. The meeting reflects the federation’s support for the defender during his rehabilitation.
