The Nigeria Football Federation has announced a ₦1 million fine for clubs that fail to honour their fixtures during the national preliminary stage of the President's Federation Cup.
In a statement released on Monday, the federation warned that teams that register for the competition but do not show up for matches during the state preliminary rounds will face strict sanctions.
The directive was confirmed by Ruth David, who stated that the measure is aimed at ensuring discipline and proper organization throughout the tournament.
According to the federation, the state preliminary matches for the 2026 edition of the competition will take place between March 22 and April 26, 2026.
