The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) are reportedly in discussions to reschedule the international friendly between the Super Eagles and the Pharaohs.
The match, which was originally scheduled for Sunday, 14 December, at the Cairo International Stadium, was called off following FIFA’s decision to change the player release dates for AFCON 2025. This move affected the availability of key players for both teams.
According to BSN Sports, the two football governing bodies are working to finalize a new date that ensures the participation of their star players while keeping the venue unchanged.
The friendly is part of both nations’ preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
