Neymar welcomes Leipzig player Xavi Simons to his Neymar Jr. Charity Institute

Santos star Neymar met with Leipzig footballer Xavi Simons, who paid a visit to his Neymar Jr. Charity Institute. The Brazilian shared photos with the Dutchman on his Instagram page.

Neymar posted several pictures where he is seen posing and chatting with Xavi Simons, captioning them: “Glad to see you in good health and welcome to @institutoneymarjr. See you tonight 😉 @xavisimons.”

Simons traveled to Brazil with RB Leipzig, as a friendly match between his team and Neymar's Santos is scheduled for today. The game will take place at the “Cícero de Souza Marques” stadium, home of RB Bragantino, which, like Leipzig, is part of the Red Bull network.

It's worth noting that this season, RB Leipzig finished only 7th in the Bundesliga standings. As a result, the German side missed out on European competitions for the upcoming season—something that hasn’t happened since the 2016/17 campaign.

Meanwhile, in Brazil, the season is in full swing, with the local Serie A having just kicked off in April. Santos currently sits at the very bottom of the table, in 18th place out of 20 teams.
