The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Brazilian winger Neymar has shared his thoughts on whether he intends to play in the tournament.

Details: In an interview with CNN, Neymar confirmed his ambition to participate in the 2026 World Cup. He expressed his determination to do everything possible to help Brazil claim the title.

Quote: "Of course, I plan to be there! Definitely. I’ll do everything I can to win with Brazil. I want to be there, and I trust in our team," Neymar stated.

Currently playing for Al-Hilal, Neymar’s former teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez are in the U.S., representing Inter Miami. In the same interview, Neymar also commented on the possibility of reuniting with them.

Recently, it was reported that Neymar is in talks to terminate his contract with Al-Hilal, which runs until the summer of 2025, as he seeks a potential move back to Santos.

Reminder: It is expected that Santos will announce Neymar's return after the end of the Brazilian Serie B season.

Notably, FIFA rules allow Neymar to sign a pre-contract with his former club starting January 1, 2025, to facilitate a full transfer in the summer.
