Neymar has put an end to speculation over his return to his former club Guilherme Kastner/Santos

The legendary forward Neymar, currently playing for Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, has definitively quashed rumors of a summer return to his boyhood club Santos.

"No chance. That's nonsense. I have another year on my contract with Al-Hilal. I support Santos and hope to return someday, but right now I am fully focused on Al-Hilal," Neymar stated in a comment to ESPN.

Previously, the president of Santos had asserted that Neymar's return to Santos was inevitable.

As a reminder, Neymar is currently recovering from a severe knee injury sustained on October 19th last year during a match with the Brazilian national team.

For Al-Hilal, the 32-year-old former PSG and Barcelona forward has played only 5 matches, scoring 1 goal and providing 3 assists.

This season, Santos is competing in Brazil's Serie B for the first time in history. After 8 rounds, they are in third place.
