Neymar apologized to his team and fans for being sent off in the match against Botafogo

Santos captain Neymar let his team down in yesterday’s match against Botafogo, picking up a second yellow card for scoring a goal with his hand. After the game, the footballer apologized to his teammates and supporters by posting a message on his Instagram story.
The Brazilian shared two stories, expressing his feelings about what happened during the match.

“A desperate desire to score sometimes leads us to make mistakes… I want to apologize to my teammates and to the fans! I was wrong, please forgive me!!! If I hadn’t been sent off today, I’m sure we would have taken all 3 points… The team deserves congratulations for today’s performance! You can credit these 3 points to my account!!! Note: the second yellow was deserved, but the first one was nonsense, I broke the rules and already got a yellow… What a bad referee… My God! 🤦🏽♂️ That’s just my opinion… please don’t punish me any further 😂,” Neymar wrote.

Let’s recall: with the score at 0-0, the Brazilian scored a goal with his hand against Botafogo, earning a second yellow card in the 76th minute. Just ten minutes later, Santos conceded the decisive goal.
