Newcastle United have not given up on signing Ousmane Diomande
Under contract with Sporting CP until 2030
The English club are reportedly preparing a new bid for the Ivory Coast international this summer.
Newcastle United had already targeted Ousmane Diomande last winter without success. But following that failure, the Magpies have not given up. They intend to make another push during the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. The English club are keen on the Ivorian and would like to secure his services this summer.
But to sign Ousmane Diomande, Newcastle United would have to pay €45 million. That is the fee set by Sporting CP to let their Ivorian defender leave. Diomande’s contract with the Portuguese club runs until June 2030. However, a convincing offer could trigger his departure from Portugal.
