Last season, Newcastle faced their share of challenges, yet still managed to secure Champions League qualification. Now, as the Magpies prepare for their return to Europe's elite competition, they are plotting a major squad reinforcement.

Details: According to Sky Sports, the club has tabled offers totaling £125 million for three players: Brighton striker João Pedro, Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford, and Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga.

However, it is believed that this amount may not be enough. Burnley value Trafford at £30 million, while Nottingham Forest have rejected a £45 million bid for Elanga, demanding £60 million instead. Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe is eager to see at least two new signings join the squad before the start of pre-season training.

Reminder: Newcastle could receive a significant financial boost from the sale of Alexander Isak, who has attracted strong interest from Liverpool.
