Newcastle have revealed when the player suspended for betting will return to the squad

In the summer of 2023, Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali moved to Newcastle for 64 million euros. Still, no sooner he had settled in the “Magpies”, than the football authorities suspended him from football for 10 months. And the suspension is already coming to an end.
The suspension is valid until 27 August, and as reported by the press service of Newcastle, the next day he will return to the squad. Thus, he will be part of Eddie Howe's team for the first time in 10 months.
In recall, Tonali was suspended from football by the Italian Football Association for 10 months in October 2023 for a betting offence.
An additional punishment of a two-month suspension was imposed by the English Football Association, but it was replaced by a suspended sentence for the 2024/2025 season, and will only come into effect if the Italian is again involved in betting.
Before the suspension, Tonali had only managed to play 12 matches for Newcastle, in which he scored one goal.
