New York Knicks fire head coach Tom Thibodeau

The New York Knicks reached the Eastern Conference Finals, but ultimately fell short against Indiana. In response to this defeat, the club's management decided to take drastic action.
Details: On the team's official X account (formerly Twitter), the Knicks announced the dismissal of head coach Tom Thibodeau.
It was Thibodeau who, for the first time in 25 years, led the team to the Eastern Conference Finals, made the playoffs four times in five seasons with the Knicks, and became the first head coach since the 1990s to guide the team to more than 50 regular season wins.
Incidentally, Indiana, who knocked out the Knicks, will play in the NBA Finals against Oklahoma. The opening game of the series is scheduled for June 6, with tip-off at 2:30 a.m. Central European Time.
Reminder: This marks Indiana's first trip to the NBA Finals since 2000, when the team lost to the Lakers 2-4 in the series.
