Last night at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England, UFC 304 took place. The main event featured a welterweight title bout between Briton Leon Edwards and American Belal Muhammad.

In the fight, the champion focused primarily on defense and could not counter Muhammad's nine takedowns. The bout lasted all five rounds, and the judges unanimously awarded the victory to Muhammad.

Edwards had claimed the title in 2022 by knocking out Nigerian Kamaru Usman in the fifth round. Since then, the Briton had successfully defended the title twice. This loss marks Edwards' first defeat in nine years, his last being in 2015.

The co-main event also featured a championship bout. For the interim UFC heavyweight title, British titleholder Tom Aspinall faced American Curtis Blaydes. There were no surprises in this fight, as Aspinall managed to knock out his opponent within the first few seconds of the first round. This victory marked Aspinall's first title defense.
