At the Olympic Games in Paris, another Olympic record. This time it happened in air pistol shooting from 10 meters among women.
19-year-old Korean Oh Ye Jin became the Olympic champion with a score of 243.2. This is a new record in the history of the Olympics in this discipline.
The second place in this discipline went to another representative of South Korea, Kim Ye-ji (241.3). Her result would also have been a new Olympic record if not for Jin's outstanding shooting.
The bronze medal went to Manu Bhaker of India, the first medal for India in shooting in 12 years. It is also worth noting that Indian women have not won a medal in shooting before.
The Olympic champion in men's 10-meter air pistol shooting was also determined. The champion was China's Xie Yu.
