Football club Le Havre has announced the signing of Moroccan midfielder Sofiane Boufal.

Details: On their social media, Le Havre officially stated that the 32-year-old attacking midfielder for the Moroccan national team, Sofiane Boufal, has joined Le Havre as a free agent.

Boufal’s most recent club was Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise, which he left in December. After terminating his contract, the Moroccan midfielder was a free agent, allowing Le Havre to complete the transfer without paying a fee.

The experienced attacking midfielder is no stranger to Ligue 1, having previously played for Lille and Angers. His career also includes stints with English side Southampton, Spanish club Celta Vigo, and Qatari outfit Al-Rayyan.

It’s worth noting that this season, the Moroccan international has made fifteen appearances and provided two assists. All of his appearances this season have come off the bench.

Currently, Le Havre sit 13th in the French Ligue 1 standings.

Reminder: In the French Cup round of 16, for the first time in 35 years, only Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 teams will compete.
