Negotiations to start in the coming days. PSG preparing transfer for Barcelona player
Barcelona forward Ferran Torres could soon continue his career in France’s Ligue 1. According to journalist Matteo Moretto, the 25-year-old Spaniard is open to a move to PSG amid stalled contract renewal talks with the Catalan club.
The source reports that negotiations over a contract extension between Torres and Barcelona have come to a complete standstill, significantly increasing the likelihood of his departure in the current transfer window.
It’s noted that PSG does not anticipate any issues in agreeing personal terms with the player. Now, the French and Spanish clubs are preparing to open direct negotiations, during which they plan to discuss the potential transfer fee.
According to Moretto, Barcelona’s management is well aware that Ferran Torres could leave the team this summer and is therefore not ruling out a sale should a suitable offer arrive.
Talks between the clubs are expected to begin in the coming days, and the deal could accelerate if both parties quickly reach an agreement on financial terms.
Ferran Torres has been playing for Barcelona since January 2022, when he joined from Manchester City. During this time, the Spanish forward has won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup with the Catalans, establishing himself as a key figure in the team’s attacking lineup.
