Negotiations suspended. Lewandowski's transfer to Serie A under threat
Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski could leave the Catalan club this summer as a free agent. However, his financial demands have become a major stumbling block to a potential move to Serie A.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Polish forward has demanded a salary of €8 million per season from both Juventus and Milan. It is precisely these terms that have effectively put negotiations with the Italian giants on hold.
Sources report that the player's agent, Pini Zahavi, met with representatives from both clubs in recent weeks. In addition to Lewandowski, Zahavi also offered Real Madrid defender David Alaba to Juventus and Milan.
For now, the Pole's future remains uncertain. Aside from a possible switch to Italy, Lewandowski could also stay at Barcelona by agreeing to a short-term deal with the Catalan club.
