Need more money! Real Madrid's bid for World Cup superstar rejected
The Madrid club received a firm response but has no intention of pulling out of the transfer race.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid submitted an official offer to Leipzig for Yan Diomande totaling €100 million—€90 million in guaranteed payments and another €10 million in bonuses. The German club turned down the bid, aiming to cash in on the player for more than €100 million. Negotiations between the parties are ongoing.
Leipzig is taking a tough stance and, for now, has no intention of letting the 19-year-old Ivorian go under the proposed terms. Meanwhile, Real Madrid is pushing ahead with the deal and will work to reach a compromise with the German club's management.
PSG is also monitoring the situation. The Parisians have been in talks for several weeks, but they too have yet to reach an agreement with Leipzig.
It's worth noting that last season Diomande played 36 matches, netted 13 goals, and delivered 10 assists.
