NBA suspends Golden State forward for fighting during game. VIDEO
Golden State forward Draymond Green has been suspended for five games for fighting in a game against Minnesota, ESPN reports.
In the match between Golden State and Minnesota, Klay Thompson of Golden State and Jayden McDaniels of Minnesota clashed at the start of the game. They were joined by Rudy Gobert, who was grabbed by Draymond Green from behind. Draymond, Klay and Jayden were removed from the court.
The three basketball players were fined $25,000 each. This is the first time in the NBA over the past 25 seasons that several players have been removed before one of the teams has even managed to open a score. It is reported that as a result of the suspension, Green will lose $769,705 - $153,941 per game.
It should be added that Golden State lost this match to Minnesota with a score of 101-104.
Draymond Green was selected in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft with the 35th overall pick by the Golden State Warriors.
