NBA star Kyrie Irving sued over unpaid $390,000 bill
Dallas Mavericks player Kyrie Irving is facing a lawsuit from Health & Wellness Co., alleging non-payment of $390,000 for services rendered, TMZ reports.
According to the lawsuit, Irving hired psychotherapist Natasha McCartney from the company to provide services during a retreat for his friends and family.
Initially, he claimed the event would host around 50–60 guests, but just a day before the event, he revised the number to 115. In reality, approximately 150 people attended the gathering. Despite this discrepancy, the company fulfilled its obligations professionally.
The situation took a tragic turn when someone at the event died unexpectedly. Health & Wellness Co. stepped in, offering crisis management and counseling services to those affected. However, when the company sent Irving an invoice for $390,000, the NBA star allegedly failed to pay, prompting the lawsuit for breach of contract.
Irving’s attorney has yet to comment on the matter.
