Navas names the most important match of his career—spoiler: it’s not El Clásico

Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas has played in numerous high-profile matches throughout his career. However, he has singled out one game as the most significant, and his choice might surprise many.

Details: Navas recently joined Argentine club Newell’s Old Boys and is preparing for the clash against Rosario Central—one of the most intense and storied rivalries in Argentine football. Surprisingly, the former Real Madrid keeper considers this upcoming derby the most important match of his career.

Quote: "The past is the past. Those are great stories I can share with my friends and family, but for me, this Clásico is the most important of my career. It's just around the corner, so we are taking it very seriously. I hope in the future, we can tell a great story about this Clásico, but for now, it's the most important one for me," Navas said at a press conference.
