Nations FC to Participate in CAF Confederation Cup Next Season After FA Cup Triumph Despite Relegation

Nations FC will compete in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup after sealing a remarkable FA Cup victory over Dreams FC in a dramatic final decided by penalties.

The Ghanaian side lifted the 2025/26 FA Cup following a 5-4 shootout win at the University of Ghana Stadium, after the match ended 1-1 in regulation and extra time.

Joseph Effah put Nations FC ahead in the 31st minute with a composed finish, before Abdul Razak Salifu brought Dreams FC level just before half-time.

With neither team able to find a winner across extra time, the contest went to penalties where Nations FC held their nerve to secure the trophy.

Despite suffering relegation in the league, the FA Cup success ensures Nations FC will still represent Ghana on the continental stage next season.
