Napoli sporting director confirms search for Kvaratskhelia's replacement
Napoli’s star player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has officially left the club, joining PSG. To fill the void left by the Georgian winger, Antonio Conte's team has swiftly begun the search for a replacement. Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, has now confirmed earlier media reports.
Details: Manna acknowledged that Napoli is considering Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi and Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho as potential replacements. However, he clarified that these are not the only options on the table.
Quote: “Adeyemi and Garnacho are two names that interest us, players we like. They’re not the only ones, though. We’ll try to evaluate all possibilities. We certainly won’t pay above-market prices. Kvara needs to be replaced. We’re keeping an open mind. Let’s see what happens in the coming days,” Manna told Sky Sports.
Reminder: Reports earlier suggested that Napoli faces competition from Chelsea for Garnacho. However, the Manchester United player is reportedly not keen on leaving Ruben Amorim’s squad.
