Napoli signed Lille winger Victor Osimhen for €75 million in September 2020, and the repercussions of that transfer to the Neapolitan club are still reverberating.

Today, 3 April, Partenopei boss Aurelio De Laurentiis had to appear at the Rome prosecutor's office to answer questions from prosecutors as part of the investigation into the Neapolitan club's black accounting, although Napoli's press office stresses that it was the club boss himself who got him heard by the capital's authorities.

Among the doubts raised by the authorities was the cost of Osimhen during his transfer from Lille, as well as the fact that four young players went to France: Claudio Manzi, Ciro Palmieri, Luigi Liguori and Orestis Karnezis.

In view of which the prosecutor's office has filed a request to press charges against De Laurentiis and the other suspects in this investigation, whose names have not been released.
