The reigning Italian champions Napoli are considering inviting Antonio Conte as their head coach, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The president of the Italian club is convinced that Conte is precisely the coach who can return Napoli to the level at which the Italian club once performed. De Laurentiis is prepared to offer the 54-year-old specialist broad powers regarding the management of Napoli's transfer policy and the appointment of a new sporting director.

Furthermore, Napoli may offer Conte a salary equivalent to what he had at Tottenham. The London-based team was Conte's last place of employment. He led them from November 2021 to March 2023 and has been unemployed since then.

After 30 Serie A matches this season, Napoli, who are currently the reigning champions of the country, have accumulated 45 points and currently occupy the eighth position.

It is worth noting that it was recently reported that the favorite for the Napoli coaching position would be Vincenzo Italiano, who manages Fiorentina. Italiano's contract with La Viola expires in the summer, making this option very appealing to the Neapolitan bosses.
