Napoli has set its sights on signing one of the most experienced and decorated Italian managers.
Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the Partenopei's management held a fresh round of direct phone talks with Massimiliano Allegri this morning. The club is actively searching for a head coach who can return the team to the top of Serie A, and the former Juventus and Milan boss has emerged as their top priority.
Allegri himself is more than interested in the offer from Naples. During the morning conversation, the 58-year-old Italian tactician confirmed his willingness to take on a long-term project and agreed to a two-year contract if Napoli's bosses make him their final choice.
Reminder: Juventus is pushing to sign Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah.
