On Friday, May 23, the Serie A winner was decided — Napoli and Inter fought until the very end for the title.
Heading into the match, the Neapolitans held a one-point advantage over the Nerazzurri. Inter took care of business against Como with a convincing 2-0 win, finishing the 38-round campaign on 81 points.
However, Napoli also did their job — the team had little trouble dispatching Cagliari 2-0. The winning goals came from Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku. As a result, Napoli ended the season with 82 points and were crowned champions of Italy.
This is their second Serie A title in the last three seasons and the fourth in the club's history.
