Napoli are looking to strengthen their midfield with a player from a top Premier League club
One of Napoli's tasks in the summer transfer window is to strengthen the midfield, and for this purpose, the Neapolitans' sporting director Giovanni Manna travelled to England, because it was there that Antonio Conte's team found a candidate to sign.
According to Corriere dello Sport, we are talking about Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay. Napoli are not intimidated by the high price, as Manna intends to negotiate with the Mancunians to take the Scot on loan.
Such an option is possible, but only if the 27-year-old player extends his contract with the Manchester club. McTominay's current agreement with Manchester United runs until the summer of 2025.
Napoli are also eyeing a fellow Scotsman, but already from Brighton. A deal for Seagulls player Billy Gilmour is being considered and he could be signed for a fee in the region of €10 million.
