Napoli activate Zambo Anguissa’s contract extension option

The Italian side are counting on the Cameroonian international and have ruled out his departure.

Zambo Anguissa’s future will continue to be shaped in Naples. Whilst uncertainty surrounded the Cameroonian’s future at the Italian club, Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, was keen to set the record straight.

He reaffirmed the management’s full confidence in Zambo Anguissa. Giovanni Manna emphasised the midfielder’s importance to the club’s sporting project and announced that Napoli have exercised the option to keep him.

“We have confidence in Zambo Anguissa. He is a key player for Napoli and we want to continue with him. We have already activated the option to keep him for another year.”
