"Must give him the car": Red Bull aware Verstappen could leave the team
Max Verstappen has dominated the Formula 1 scene over the past few seasons, but his team acknowledges that the Dutchman might leave if certain conditions aren't met.
Details: Helmut Marko, one of Red Bull Racing's top officials, has admitted that the team is aware Verstappen could depart unless they provide him with a competitive car.
Quote: "We must give Verstappen a car that is fast enough on all types of tracks throughout the season, not just occasionally, as happened in some races of the last championship. We understand that without this, without a competitive machine, Max will have no reason to stay at Red Bull," he said.
Verstappen's contract runs until 2028, but it includes a clause allowing him to terminate the agreement. Both Mercedes and Aston Martin are reportedly interested in securing his services.
Reminder: Hamilton encountered technical issues with his car during a presentation at Ferrari. It is reported that the Briton had to "adjust various pedal settings throughout the test."
