Moustapha Mbow reacts to his call-up to the Senegal national team

Moustapha Mbow is among the players selected by Pape Thiaw to represent Senegal at this summer’s World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico. A regular and standout performer for Paris FC this season, Mbow has been rewarded. Following the announcement of Pape Thiaw’s squad for the American campaign, the defender spoke out.

I am immensely proud to have been selected for the 2026 World Cup. This is the perfect moment for me to thank everyone who has supported me in achieving this goal. To my family, and to Paris FC as a whole: our directors, my teammates, and all the club’s staff, I am writing these few words today to express my deep gratitude following this emotionally charged 2025/2026 season. A special thank you to you, Stéphane Gili, Antoine Kombouaré and your various staff. Your support, your high standards and, above all, the trust you have shown in me by entrusting me with the captain’s armband have touched me deeply. Finally, a huge thank you to the Paris FC supporters. Now, let’s set our sights on the World Cup. With my deepest gratitude.
