Moussa Diaby Set to Return to Bayer Leverkusen as Deal With Al-Ittihad Agreed

Moussa Diaby is reportedly on the verge of returning to Bayer Leverkusen after the Bundesliga club reached a verbal agreement with Al-Ittihad to re-sign the French winger.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that the deal has been agreed in principle, with the clubs now exchanging documents as they work towards completing the transfer.

“Bayer Leverkusen agree deal to sign Moussa Diaby, here we go! Verbal agreement done with Al Ittihad.”

Diaby is no stranger to Leverkusen, having spent four successful seasons with the German club between 2019 and 2023.

During his first spell, the winger made 172 appearances, scoring 49 goals and establishing himself as one of the Bundesliga's most exciting attacking players.

In 2023, Diaby left Leverkusen to join Aston Villa in a deal reportedly worth around €50 million. However, his time in the Premier League lasted just one season before he moved to Saudi Arabia to join Al-Ittihad.
