Mourinho’s top target in London! Real Madrid prepare blockbuster move for Arsenal defensive star

Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Arsenal’s Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori, whom Los Blancos’ head coach José Mourinho has identified as his top transfer target.

Details: According to renowned transfer insider Ekrem Konur, the Spanish giants have already made initial enquiries and are carefully exploring the possibility of a high-profile move next summer. The representatives of the 24-year-old versatile defender have already been officially informed of Real Madrid’s interest. At the Santiago Bernabéu, the Portuguese manager sees Calafiori as a key figure in strengthening his defensive line.

However, completing the deal will be extremely difficult for the Spanish giants, as Arsenal have absolutely no intention of letting the Italian leave. His current contract runs until the summer of 2029. The Gunners’ hierarchy are fully satisfied with the defender’s commitment and intend to cool Madrid’s interest by offering him an improved contract in 2027.

It is worth noting that Riccardo Calafiori joined Arsenal in the summer of 2024 following a triumphant season with Bologna and an impressive performance at the European Championship. He quickly established himself as one of the most tactically versatile defenders in the Premier League.
