Mourinho suffers another defeat amid rumors of his dismissal from Fenerbahce

Athletic Bilbao traveled to face Fenerbahce in a match that could be pivotal for José Mourinho’s future with the Turkish club.

The Basque side secured their victory in the first half, scoring twice. Iñaki Williams opened the scoring in the fifth minute and doubled his tally just before halftime. These two goals sealed the match, giving Athletic a 2-0 win.

This defeat could be decisive for Mourinho. Recent reports suggested that failing to win against Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League would further destabilize Mourinho's already precarious position at Fenerbahce, prompting the club's management to consider his dismissal.

Wolverhampton has reportedly offered the Turkish club £5 million to bring Mourinho back to the Premier League.

Reminder: Earlier, the Portuguese coach entered a verbal sparring match with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, asserting that his titles with Chelsea were won fairly.
