Mourinho eyes position at a top English club

Fenerbahçe head coach José Mourinho appears dissatisfied with his current situation at the Turkish club and has started considering options in another top league.

Details: According to Yahoo Sports, Mourinho has asked to be kept informed about the coaching position at Newcastle United. The Portuguese coach met Newcastle chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan in March and has maintained contact with him since. Mourinho reportedly feels he has unfinished business in the Premier League, and he sees a role at Newcastle as an ideal way to return to English football.

However, it seems unlikely that Newcastle’s management will make any immediate coaching changes, despite recent disagreements between head coach Eddie Howe and the newly appointed sporting director, Paul Mitchell.
