Today, the final match of Serie A's second round took place, where Juventus played away against Verona. The Turin side once again secured a convincing victory with a 3-0 scoreline.

Serbian striker Dušan Vlahović opened the scoring in the 28th minute, capitalizing on a defensive lapse by Verona to beat the goalkeeper from 11 meters. Eleven minutes later, 21-year-old right-back debutant Nikola Savona scored with a header, marking his first goal in Serie A.

This is the second consecutive match where a Juventus player scored in their Serie A debut. In the first round, it was Samuel Mbangula who found the net. Incidentally, Mbangula provided the assist for Savona today.

Vlahović sealed the victory by converting a penalty in the 53rd minute.

This marks the second straight match in which Juventus has won 3-0. In their previous game, they defeated Serie A newcomer Como with the same score. It's an ideal start for new head coach Thiago Motta.

Juventus will face Roma in the third round, with the match scheduled for Sunday, September 1.
