In the 44th minute of the Premier League Matchday 14 clash between Arsenal and Brentford, the Gunners suffered a significant blow.
Details: Late in the first half, Mosquera picked up an injury and was forced to leave the field, leaving Mikel Arteta’s side without a single fit central defender.
This situation forced Mikel Arteta into a reshuffle: he had to move full-back Jurrien Timber, who usually plays on the right flank, into the heart of the defence.
Mosquera’s injury adds to Arsenal’s already critical defensive crisis, with fellow centre-backs Gabriel and William Saliba also sidelined through injury.
As a result, Arsenal will start the second half with a makeshift central pairing of Timber and Hincapié, both of whom are naturally full-backs.
Reminder: Arsenal are trying to sign Eintracht’s young French forward Jean-Matteo Bahoya.
