The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has confirmed its intention to appeal the disciplinary sanctions imposed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) following the AFCON final against Senegal.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the FRMF expressed dissatisfaction with the ruling, describing the penalties issued by CAF’s Disciplinary Committee as disproportionate to the incidents that occurred during the high-stakes final.
According to the federation, the decision does not adequately reflect the context or intensity of the match, prompting Moroccan football authorities to pursue a formal appeal through CAF’s legal framework.
