USM Oujda has ended its partnership with Issa Ndiaye following the award of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations to Morocco at Senegal’s expense.

The African Football Confederation’s bombshell decision continues to cause a stir. One of the biggest surprises comes from the Moroccan league. USM Oujda, a Moroccan second-division club, has decided to part ways with its Senegalese midfielder, Issa Ndiaye. The split was officially announced by the club, which did not, however, mention the reasons behind the termination of the player’s contract.

However, sources claim that the cause is linked to the Senegalese player’s reaction following the announcement of the CAF Appeals Committee’s decision to overturn Senegal’s victory in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final and award the trophy to Morocco. Issa Ndiaye is said to have mocked the CAF verdict, which angered his Moroccan club.
