Monterrey and Sergio Ramos advance to Club World Cup playoffs

On the night of Thursday, June 26, two more matches of the Club World Cup took place, this time featuring teams from Group E.
Inter faced River Plate and managed to defeat the Argentine side 2-0. River finished the match with only nine men on the pitch after two red cards, which made it much easier for the Italians to calmly see out the win. Thanks to this result, Inter now have seven points and advance to the Club World Cup playoffs as group leaders.
In the other match of the group, Monterrey took on the group's underdog, Urawa. The Mexican side left their opponents without a single chance, firing four unanswered goals past them. Sergio Ramos' team leapfrogged River Plate in the group standings after this emphatic victory and also booked their spot in the playoffs.
In the round of 16, Inter will play against Fluminense, while Monterrey will face Borussia Dortmund.
Reminder: Juventus will take on Manchester City in the final round of the Club World Cup group stage. Our editorial team has prepared all the details on where and when to watch this match.
