Money or Messi?Chicago Fire will offer fans compensation if the Argentine does not play against them

Chicago Fire announced on their official website plans to compensate fans if Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi is unable to play due to injury in the MLS match against their team on August 31.

Several options will be available. The club will offer fans tickets to other Chicago Fire home matches before August 31 or a $250 discount on two or more new season tickets for 2025. Additionally, a $100 discount will be available on two or more tickets for one or two home matches against Inter Miami next season.

Fans who have already purchased tickets for the August 31 match will receive two free tickets to the Fan Appreciation Night on October 19.

Currently, tickets for the Chicago Fire vs Inter Miami match start at $89.

It is worth noting that Messi missed the match between Fire and Inter in Chicago in October 2023 due to injury. While there is a possibility that Lionel might not play again due to injury, he is expected to recover by the end of July.
