Mohau Nkota: From Humble Beginnings to Orlando Pirates' CAF Champions League Hero

It's amazing how Mohau Nkota rose to the Orlando Pirates' starting lineup. The 20-year-old forward has quickly become a fan favorite due to his goal-scoring ability and work ethic.
The Breakthrough Momenta
The Kimberly native Nkota trained under club veteran Joseph Makhanya before catching the eye of senior coach Jose Riveiro. Nkota was first seen in the Pirates' junior groups. He got the Man of the Match award and scored a brace in his memorable debut against AmaZulu.
He scored two goals against CR Belouizdad in Algeria on his CAF Champions League debut, demonstrating his capacity to excel on the grandest platform.
Support Network & Upcoming Objectives
Nkota attributes his achievement to his mother's support, his strong relationship with Relebohile Mofokeng, and the advice of colleague Tshegofatso Mabasa. He acknowledges that in order to further assist the squad, he has to work on his finishing despite his strong start.
CAF Challenge Quarterfinal
On Tuesday, April 1, the Pirates will play MC Alger in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. Nkota will be keen to contribute once again when he returns to Algeria with greater confidence.
