AS Monaco defender Mohammed Salisu has taken a major step in his recovery after returning to training following the serious ACL injury that kept him sidelined for several months.

The Ghanaian international has been out of action since January after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the closing stages of Monaco’s Ligue 1 encounter against Olympique Lyonnais. The injury forced the centre-back into a lengthy rehabilitation period, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.

In encouraging scenes from AS Monaco’s recent training sessions, Salisu was spotted back on the pitch alongside teammate Takumi Minamino and other members of the squad. The 26-year-old participated in light running drills and ball-work exercises as he continues his gradual return to full fitness.
