Mohamed Salah welcomed as a hero by fans in Istanbul

The Egyptian striker’s arrival in Turkey to sign his contract with Trabzonspor has sparked a wave of enthusiasm.

Mohamed Salah arrived in Turkey to finalise the formalities of his transfer to Trabzonspor. The Egyptian international landed in Istanbul on Wednesday 5 August.

But upon setting foot on Turkish soil, the former Liverpool striker was welcomed like a superstar in Istanbul. A huge number of Trabzonspor supporters gathered to give him a spectacular reception ahead of his contract signing.

A jubilant crowd turned out to celebrate the arrival of Trabzonspor’s new striker. Mohamed Salah is now expected in Trabzon to finalise the last details of his transfer before officially signing his contract with the Turkish club.

A free agent after leaving Liverpool, the Egyptian international is expected to sign a two-season contract with Trabzonspor. Mohamed Salah is expected to earn a net salary of 17 million euros per season.
