Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has decided to interrupt his holiday following the tragic news of his teammate Diogo Jota's death, according to the Egyptian outlet Yallakora.

It is reported that Salah will return to England today, Friday, ending his vacation earlier than originally planned. According to Turkiye Today, the Egyptian had been vacationing in Bodrum, Turkey, and was also spotted in Mombasa, Kenya, and on Mykonos in Greece.

It's worth noting that Salah and Jota played 150 matches together for Liverpool. During this period, they combined for 19 goals, assisting each other.

As a reminder, tragedy struck on the night of July 2 to 3 on the A-52 highway near Cernadilla, close to Zamora in Spain. The Lamborghini carrying Jota and his younger brother Andre crashed after a tire burst. The car veered off the road into a ditch and caught fire.

Diogo Jota was only 28 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife and three children.
