Mohamed Ouahbi Set to Replace Walid Regragui as Morocco Head Coach

Mohamed Ouahbi is close to being appointed as the new head coach of Morocco following the departure of Walid Regragui.

Regragui has mutually agreed to part ways with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation after Morocco’s defeat to Senegal in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations last month.

According to Foot Mercato, Regragui requested to leave his position following the loss, bringing an end to his time in charge of the Atlas Lions. The coach previously made history by guiding Morocco to the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup, a remarkable achievement for African football.

With the position now vacant, Ouahbi has reportedly emerged as the leading candidate and is on the verge of taking over as Morocco’s next head coach.
