FC Porto have confirmed the signing of Nigerian striker Terem Moffi from OGC Nice. The Super Eagles forward joins on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy for €8m.

The 26-year-old becomes the fifth Nigerian to play for Porto, following Abraham Marcus, Chidozie Awaziem, Mikel Agu and current defender Zaidu Sanusi. Sanusi remains the most successful, with 141 appearances and eight goals.

Moffi arrives after a difficult spell in France, having been sidelined since late November. He will wear the number 29 shirt and reunite with familiar faces, including Pablo Rosario and coach Francesco Farioli.

Born in Calabar, Moffi’s journey took him through England, Lithuania, Belgium and Ligue 1, where he scored 20 goals for Nice. Porto now expect him to boost their attack.
